(Des Moines, IA) -- Two people are dead after an 18-wheeler crashed and caught fire last night along I-80.
It happened just before 11:30 last night along Interstate 80 in Dallas County.
Iowa State Patrol troopers say the tractor trailer was heading east, left the roadway and slammed into a concrete barrier.
The big rig, hauling flammable materials, jack-knifed and then went up in flames.
ISP says two people in the cab were trapped and died.
A follow up investigation is still ongoing.
