Victim's Name Revealed From A Rock Island Shooting

(Rock Island, IL) -- The victim in a weekend shooting in Rock Island is identified as 19-year-old Zavion A. McNair.

An autopsy performed Monday shows McNair died from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to Rock Island Police, the shooting took place Saturday, August 19 in the 2200 Block of 33rd Street near Washington Junior High School.

Police responded to reports of shots fired and found McNair and 19-year-old Glenn Evans Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds.

Evans Jr. was transported to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and was later released.

Glenn Evans Jr. is charged with second-degree murder and is being held in the Rock Island County Jail.
