QC First Responders Training This Week

(Moline, IL) -- First responders from throughout the Quad Cities will be taking part in FAA-required training today.

The Quad Cities International Airport Public Safety Department will be conducting a full-scale mass casualty drill Thursday morning at the airport that will include a simulation plane crash.

According to airport officials, they are sharing this information publicly to decrease any potential alarm.

Quad Cities' fire and police departments are also undergoing violent event response training this week at Vibrant Arena.

The disaster exercise must be conducted every three years.

It takes place at 9 a.m.
