Geneseo Woman's Trial Is Delayed

(Rock Island, IA) -- A Geneseo woman who is accused of killing another woman from driving under the influence is having her trial postponed again.

Brittany Griswold is accused of killing 48-year-old Cecilia Nache while driving drunk at a campground in August 2021.

Griswold and her attorney were in court Thursday when her attorney requested to delay the hearing.

Judge Peter Church agreed and pushed the session to October 5th at 1 p.m.

Griswold faces two counts of aggravated DUI resulting in accidental death, reckless homicide by motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle.
