Des Moines Man Facing Charges For Shooting Outside A QuikTrip

(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines man is charged with attempted murder in a shooting that injured a man in a store parking lot.

The shooting happened around 4:15 a.m. August 20th in the parking lot of a QuikTrip convenience store at 614 University Avenue.

Police say 27-year-old Marcus Lee Jordan fired his gun six times after getting in a fight, one shot hitting the victim in the pelvis.

The victim later showed up at MercyOne hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Lee is being held in the Polk County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is set for September 8.
