Now that they have named the finalists, the Omaha City Council will interview them for the District Four Council seat opening during a special public meeting at 9 a.m. September 7th.
The five finalists are Rebecca Barrientos, Terri Blackburn, Garry Gernandt, Ron Hug, and Erik Servellon.
The City Council will select the new Councilmember at its September 12th meeting.
That person will take the oath of office and be seated on September 26th taking the spot previously held by Vinny Palermo, who faces a federal fraud charge.
