Nebraska Power Crews Continue Florida Mutual Aid

The Omaha Public Power District says their 16 member mutual aid team helping to restore power after Hurricane Idalia is in a new area today.

The utility says after making progress in Tallahassee, where they were working Thursday, the Omaha crew is focusing on Live Oak, Florida to help another public power utility, Suwanee Valley Electric Co-Op.

Live Oak is about two hours east of Tallahassee.

Crews from Lincoln Electric System have also been working in Florida.

The Nebraska crews had staged in the Southeast ahead of the storm making landfall and then started their work.
