Starting September 17th, the cameras that are on Highway 100 and East Post Road as well as on Highways 13 and 151 will fine residents for speeding and running red lights.

According to Marion Police Officer Tom Daubs, the cameras are located in areas where crashes and traffic violations have been an issue.

Fines double in constructions zones.

The city also has a mobile unit that residents can request to be put in certain areas to warn speeders.

Officer Daubs says all residents need to do is email the police department.

Tickets will be mailed a week after the infraction.
