(Rock Island, IL) -- Certain areas in Rock Island will have a new trash collection day starting today.
The city is doing this to shorten the waste management process.
According to the city's website, collection days will remain the same for any resident who participates in the Yard Waste Collection Program and/or the Curbside Recycling Program.
Carts must be at the collection point before 7 a.m.
