Omaha Police Look For Information In Fatal Shooting

The Omaha Police Chief says additional resources are being used to "aggressively" investigate a fatal weekend shooting.

A teenager was killed and five others were injured in the shooting at 24th and Decatur Streets early Sunday.

The victim was identified as 16-year-old Lamarantae Swift.

Police say early information shows there was a large, after-hours gathering of people who were present when the shooting occurred.

Anyone with information is asked to call "Omaha Crime Stoppers" at 402-444-STOP.

Anonymous tips leading to the arrest of a shooting suspect are eligible for an enhanced reward of up to $10,000.
