Evacuated Rock Island Building Found Safe

(Rock Island, IL) -- A Rock Island building evacuated in June is being reported as safe. 217 17th Street in downtown Rock Island was cleared of residents after bricks were reported falling from the exterior. Engineers peformed an inspection of the sturcture and say the damage is cosmetic. Residents have returned to the building and repairs are underway.
