Iowa Utilities Board Holds Hearing Tuesday Over PRIME Project

(Des Moines) – The Iowa Utilities Board is set to begin a public evidentiary hearing for MidAmerican Energy’s proposed Wind PRIME project. The utility wants to add 2,042 megawatts of wind energy and 50 megawatts of solar energy. The hearing starts Tuesday afternoon at the IUB Office of Consumer Advocate building, located at the corner of Court Avenue and East 14th Street in Des Moines. It comes after a previous evidentiary hearing was held in February and Final Order issued by the IUB on April 27th. The IUB granted reconsideration to MidAmerican on June 15th.
