Private School Tax Credit Law To Appear On Nebraska Ballot

Nebraskans will go to the ballot box to decide whether or not to keep a private school tax credit law in place.

The Secretary of State's Office confirms there are enough petition signatures collected to put the private education tax credit on the November 2024 ballot.

Governor Jim Pillen signed the bill into law in May after it came out of the unicameral after much debate.

The measure provides 25-million-dollars in tax credits for private schools.
