(Ankeny, IA) -- The Ankeny Fire Department is conducting live fire training today, which could cause smoke to be visible in the city.
The city of Ankeny says fire crews will burn a structure at 1200 NE 72nd Street in Ankeny, and residents could start seeing smoke as early as 9am. The city says this is a controlled exercise and poses no threat to the public. The property being burned was donated to the Ankeny Fire Department and has been used for training over the last two weeks.
