Police Investigate After Pedestrian Struck in Lincoln

(Lincoln, NE) -- Lincoln police are investigating after a man was found with serious injuries early Sunday near South 14th and Cushman Drive in Lincoln after what they say was a hit-and-run accident. According to a statement, Lincoln Fire and Rescue transported the man to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, but has since reported he is in stable condition.

The Lincoln Police Department has initially withheld the man's name, pending family notification.

Police say no citations were immediately issued, but that the area was closed off to traffic during the investigation.
