Man Dies From Single-Car Crash in Davenport

(Davenport, IA) -- A man is dead after his car left the road, hitting a pole in Davenport.

According to the Davenport Police Department, the accident happened Monday at around 3:00 a.m. in the 500 block of North Brady Street.

Police say the 25-year-old was going northbound on Brady Street when the vehicle went off the road and grazed a pole before coming to a stop north on 59th Street.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt which resulted in him being ejected from the car.

He was sent to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Two other adults along with a 16-year-old sustained minor injuries from the crash.

The man's name has not been released, and law enforcement is still investigating.
