(North Liberty, IA) -- Don't leave valuables visible in your car. That's what North Liberty police are telling residents after a recent increase in car break-ins. In a news release, police say a network of out-of-state thieves are targeting vehicles with valuables left in plain sight. They say some suspects that they believe are part of the network have been caught trying to cash checks from checkbooks stolen earlier from vehicles.
