(Appanoose County, IA) -- An Iowa man's accused of running a medical treatment center without a license. Thirty-four-year-old Eddie Gingerich, the owner of the "Old Cabin Retreat" in Centerville is accused of practicing medicine and dietetics without a proper license. The Appanoose County Sheriff's Office says several individuals have visited and stayed for treatment there since 2020.
Appanoose County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant today (Friday) at 15615 Highway 5, Centerville.
Gingerich was arrested and charged with one count of License Required Health Related Professions, one count of License and Regulation of Hospitals, and one count of License Required Physicians and Osteopaths.
More charges are possible.
