National Study Shows Iowa in Top 10 States for Animal vs. Vechicle Crashes

(Iowa) -- A new national study ranks Iowa among the top 10 states where drivers are most likely to hit an animal.

The study from State Farm ranks Iowa 6th in the nation, with a 1 in 63 chance that a driver will hit an animal while driving. West Virginia tops the list as the state with the highest chance for drivers hitting an animal, and Nevada ranks last in the nation. State Farm says the months in which animal collisions are most likely are, in order -November, October, and December.
