(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Linn County landlords will soon be able to access funds for energy improvements.

The county has received a one million-dollar grant from the Environmental Protection Agency for a cost-share program. The Rental Energy Improvement Program allows property owners to access funds to upgrade furnaces, windows, and insulation in low-income rental units.

The goal is to make energy costs more affordable for low-income tenants.

For more information about the program, contact the Linn County Sustainability Department at Sustainability@LinnCountyIowa.gov.
