Interstate 80 In Nebraska Reopens 'Border To Border'

The Nebraska Department of Transportation and the State Patrol say Interstate 80 is now open in both directions across Nebraska after lengthy sections of it were closed from central to western Nebraska because of blizzard conditions that began this past Holiday Weekend.

People stranded by the snow and high winds were put up in hotels and vacant rental units in Ogallala in southwest Nebraska and the surrounding area.

Some drivers have been stranded along I-80 for several days.

Also, in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area, the State Patrol says Interstate 29 northbound lanes are now open in Mills County in southwest Iowa;

They had been closed earlier Wednesday morning just south of Pacific Junction because of a crash.
