Iowa Gas Prices Down Slightly to Start the Week

(Iowa) -- Gas prices in Iowa are down slightly to start the week.

Triple A reports the average price for regular unleaded in Iowa is $2.78 a gallon, a drop of 2 cents from this time last week. Prices vary regionally across the state, including:

  • Des Moines: $2.79
  • Ames: $2.86
  • Iowa City: $2.83
  • Cedar Rapids: $2.82
  • Waterloo/Cedar Falls: $2.83
  • Quad Cities (Iowa side): $2.73
  • Quad Cities (Illinois side): $3.14
  • Dubuque: $2.89
  • Sioux City: $2.69
  • Council Bluffs: $2.66

The national average price for regular unleaded is $3.07 a gallon.
