Snow Alters Solid Waste Collection Schedule

The City of Omaha announces solid waste collections are suspended due to snow and safety concerns.

Collections in the City of Omaha will be delayed by one day beginning today (Tue).

Today’s area will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday’s area to be collected on Thursday, and so forth for the rest of the week.

Residents are asked to make sure that carts are set out by 6 a.m. on the rescheduled day of collection and to clear the snow from around them to aid the crews.

Trash and recycling collection for Council Bluffs residents on City waste services has also been canceled for today.

With the high winds, Bluffs residents on City waste services are asked to remove carts from their curbside locations and place them back out before 7:00 a.m. tomorrow.

While Tuesday’s collection in C.B. is delayed, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday collections will proceed as scheduled.
