No Injuries Reported After Fire Blocks Traffic in Iowa City Wednesday

(Iowa City, IA) -- No injuries are being reported after a fire that blocked traffic in downtown Iowa City Wednesday.

The Iowa City Fire Department says crews responded to reports of the fire around 3:40 Wednesday afternoon at a Mexican restaurant in the 300 block of Burlington Street. The fire was quickly extinguished, and no one was hurt.

The Fire Department estimates the fire caused roughly $75,000 in damage to the restaurant.
