Aledo Police Chief Pleads Guilty--Resigns

(Aledo, IL) -- The four-year controversy involving the former police chief and city administrator of Aledo, Illinois, southwest of the Quad Cities, has come to an end.

Christopher Sullivan is pleading guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge.

Sullivan has been under investigation since May of 2020, when a man said that Sullivan hit him during a traffic stop. He announced his retirement this week.
