President Biden Nominates Candidates for US Attorney in Two Iowa Districts

(Washington, D.C.) -- President Biden is nominating two Iowans to serve as U.S. Attorney for the state's northern and southern Districts.

On Wednesday, Biden nominated David Waterman to serve as U.S. Attorney for Iowa's southern district and Matthew Gannon to serve in Iowa's northern district. Waterman is a fifth-generation attorney in Davenport, and Gannon previously served as First Assistant Attorney General for the Iowa Department of Justice. Their nominations now head to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Both Iowa U.S. Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst have endorsed their nominations.
