(Rock Island, IL) -- The smell of smoke still lingers over west Rock Island today as investigators continue the task of finding the cause of a blaze that destroyed the Rock Island Livestock Auction facility on Saturday night.
The Rock Island Fire Department says three city blocks burned to the ground, which is making processing the site to discover cause very time-consuming.
As of Sunday evening, one of two dozen cows on the property at the time of the fire was still reportedly on the loose in the city's west end.
