(Cambridge, IL) -- Prosecutors rested their case in Henry County court yesterday in the Daylon Richardson trial.

An expert witness testified Richardson intentionally ran down and killed Knox County Sheriff's Deputy Nicholas Weist, while Weist was laying down spike strips to stop him during a high speed chase in 2022.

Richardson's lawyer argued that his defendant's car was out of control.

The trial continues today.
