(Hiawatha, IA) -- Hiawatha has a new city council member-- for the moment...

Jill Weigel--a forensic interviewer at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Child Protection Center--defeated small businessman CJ Flynn by just three votes in a three-way race for an at-large seat. The results will be recanvassed.

Flynn says he won't ask for a recount if the results stand, but plans to run in the next election.

Adam Kirkpatrick came in a distant third in the race to replace Steve Dodson who was elected Hiawatha Mayor in November.
