The Nebraska Department of Roads reports very heavy snow closes westbound Interstate 80 Between Mile Marker 273 near Kearney and Exit 145, the Paxton Link; Paxton, 19 miles of east of Ogallala near the Keith-Lincoln County line.
NDOT also reports I-80 eastbound is closed between Exit 59: Sidney Link; Sidney; Bridgeport and Mile Marker 213, 32 miles east of North Platte, where a record amount of snow fell Thursday,
The National Weather Service says 17.4 inches of snow have fallen in North Platte, which is pushing a two -day record amount.
