(Des Moines, IA) -- Reconstruction on the Iowa State Capitol dome is finally complete.
The scaffolding has come down as crews have finished the dome reconstruction and regilding.
The renovations are expected to last decades to 100 years.
The gold will need to be replaced every 30 years.
