(North Liberty, IA) -- The North Liberty police chief is on paid administrative leave.

Officers unanimously voted no-confidence in Chief Diane Venenga’s ability to lead the department over the weekend. They cited poor communication, ambiguous time-off policies, and not hiring or retaining enough staff as reasons for the vote.

The city is now investigating, but North Liberty Mayor Chris Hoffman says he is confident in Venenga's leadership. She's been chief for 10 years.
