Iowa falls short against South Carolina in NCAA women's championship game

Iowa raced out to an early lead, but couldn't overcome the top-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks in the women's national championship game with a 87-75 loss on Sunday.

Caitlin Clark ends her Hawkeyes career with a 30-point performance, five assists, and eight rebounds.

South Carolina finishes undefeated at 38-0, the first team to finish undefeated since Connecticut in 2016.

Iowa ends the year 33-4, with 65 wins over the last two seasons. That's the best two-year stretch in program history.
