(Douglas County, NE) -- An Omaha man wanted on a felony warrant is in custody, after a high speed chase and crash, in which three deputies were injured. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the DCSO Special Operations Unit spotted a stolen vehicle Thursday night near 83rd and Maple Street and recognized 32-year-old Jake M. Scripter.

Scripter was known to have a felony arrest warrant and was also a suspect in a burglary. He was out on bond for possession of controlled substance and was on Pre-Trial Release.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says while Scripter was out of the stolen vehicle, deputies attempted to contact him to make an arrest, but Scripter got into the driver's seat, put the vehicle in reverse, and sped away, striking a deputy and ramming two other DCSO vehicles, one of which was occupied.

Two deputies have minor injuries.

The DCSO says Scripter then fled west on Maple Street at a high rate of speed. The Omaha Police Department helicopter tracked the vehicle before Scripter crashed into two vehicles at 9th and Maple. The DCSO says Scripter tried to run, but deputies and Omaha Police officers caught him. The DCSO says Scripter resisted arrest, causing minor injuries to another deputy, before he was taken into custody.

The DCSO says all three deputies were treated at a local hospital and are back on duty.

Scripter was later transported to the Douglas County Department of Corrections and booked

for the following charges:

· (3 Counts) Assault on an Officer (Felony)

· (3 counts) Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony
