(Keokuk, IA) -- The Federal Aviation Administration has given four Iowa pilots the Wright Brother's Master Pilot award. The men have marked more than 50-years each of piloting an airplane.

The FAA handed out the awards April 20th at a ceremony at the Keokuk Municipal Airport, according to Raymond Ott with the airport. He says the pilots are all friends, and nearly all of them still have active pilots licenses and continue to fly.

Iowa pilots honored include: Cecil Schenk, Don Lindholm, Arnold Spersflage, and Robert McDowell. Pilot Dennis Morton of Illinois also received the award.
