UPDATE: The Clay County Sheriff's Department says the three girls were found safe. In a statement Tuesday night, the Sheriff said the girls were abandoned by their mother in another Iowa town about 30 miles away from where they were taken.
ROYAL, IOWA - Three children have been abducted and law enforcement says their lives are in danger.
An Amber Alert has been issued for a child abduction emergency for the three girls, who were taken this morning in Royal, Iowa in the northwest part of the state.
The Clay County Sheriff's Department says the abductor is believed to be 25-year-old Danica Noel Arzaga.
She is described as a white female, five-foot-three, with black hair and brown eyes. She has a large eagle tattoo on her chest.
The vehicle in the abduction is a 2003 maroon 4 door Cadillac CTS with Iowa license plate 5 6 1 X E Y and may be in northwest Iowa or southern MInnesota.
The three girls are white, ages 8, 8 and 4. The older girls were wearing street clothes, and the 4 year old was wearing pink pajamas when last seen.
Anyone with information on the girls who the vehicle is asked to call 911.
