DES MOINES, IA - Police say a teenager was riding on the hood of a car today when the car stopped and he flew off, hitting his head.
A school official from Central Academy in Des Moines tells WHO Radio News the boy is 17 years old, and at least for now the injury is considered not life-threatening. The boy was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
The 911 call came in at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday as school was letting out.
