Woman Sues Dunkin' Donuts Over Hot Cider

Woman Sues Dunkin' Donuts Over Hot Cider
Posted February 27th, 2014 @ 10:29am

Remember the woman who sued McDonalds over hot coffee? Well now another woman has come forward to sue Dunkin Donuts - this time over hot cider.

Exactly what's so difficult about the word "hot" that allows people to think it's ok to buy it, spill it and sue?

According to ABC NEWS, the "victim" from New Jersey is Jennifer Fragoso. "The cider's hotness, says the complaint, was excessive "beyond industry standards."

This comes 20 years after that famos 1994 suit from 79-year-old Stella Liebeck. Initially she was awarded $3 Million, but it was reduced to $400,000 and now all these cups of hot liquid say "hot liquid"!

It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer sneaks coffee into the movie theatre and finds a lawyer willing to sue! Enjoy the clip!
