Greg Edwards of the Greater Des Moines Convention & Business Bureau joined us in the studio just after the 8AM news.  Tomorrow evening from 5-6:30PM they are throwing a party at the Kum & Go Theater in the Des Moines Social Club to kick off their new cultural website... www.CatchDesMoinesCulture.com.  You will be able to access their calendar of events, anything to do with the arts, theatrical locations and more in one site.  This will be marketed throughout the midwest.  Everyone is invited to the party tomorrow evening!

Lance Henning and Amy Smith of the Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity joined us in the studio just after the 8:30 news.  Their goal this year is 30 homes.  They are in need of volunteers and donations.  They will be building a complete home inside the Varied Industries Building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds during the Home & Remodeling Show this Friday thru Sunday.  Be sure to check out the Habitat ReStore that sells new and used home improvement materials at discounted prices.  Donate and shop at the ReStore...just off I-235 at the Euclid Avenue exit.  They even have a tool lending library where you can borrow tools for your home improvement project.  Their website is www.gdmhabitat.org for more information.

Remember, Wednesday morning we will have our drive-thru open here at 2141 Grand for you to pick up your free Triple Play tickets for the Home & Remodeling Show, March 7-9; the Home Show Expo, July 11-27; and the Tour of Remodeled Homes, September 20-21.  What a deal.  Drive thru from 6:30-8AM or while tickets last.

Thursday from 3-6PM, Van and I will be broadcasting from Learning RX at 50th & Westown Parkway (across from Lowes).  Take $100 off the initial testing fee!  Learn how to get a 23 point gain in IQ for either you or your child!  Call 515-224-4819 for your appointment!

Also, get signed up for the reverse drawing at the Iowa Flower, Lawn & Garden Show to win the garden shed courtesy of Van Wyk Wood Builders on March 15th.  Van and I will be broadcasting live from 10AM-1PM with the reverse drawing starting at noon!

They promise us Spring is on it's way...just a few more days of this crazy weather!

Stay warm,
