Lindsay Mollenhaur of Junior League and entertainer Max Wellman joined us in the studio just after 8:30 to promote a fundraiser to benefit Lighthouse Host Homes (a division of Youth Emergency Services & Shelter of Iowa) created, directed and performed by the Junior League of Des Moines. The event is at 7PM on Friday, March 28th at Hoyt Sherman and is called Junior League Follies: Capital City Celebrities. The show also includes acts from local celebrities like Max Wellman and Wicker Van Orsdel - as well as a "surprise act" created by Community Choice Credit Union. Lighthouse is a place for women aged 16-25, who are pregnant or have young children, who have nowhere to live. They're required to finish their education and work part-time while living there, as well as build and maintain a savings account. It's main purpose is to keep these women (and their children) off of the streets.  Tickets are available by calling the Hoyt Sherman box office at 515-244-0507.

Have you been thinking about getting into Yoga?  Elizabeth Morrow has created yoga by numbers (twister meets yoga).  The oversized yoga mat is dotted with big, numbered circles.  An instructional DVD tells beginners where to put their hands and feet.  Click Here to see what it's all about.

Tomorrow on Van & Bonnie, win tickets to Wynton Marsalis at Iowa State Center on March 26th.  Plus, we'll have the Church Basement Ladies interview just after 8:30.

Have a great day!
