Today is National Peanut Butter Lover's Day!  Our special guests this morning in conjunction with this special day were Rebecca Whitlow, Food Pantry Network Director and Wes Snook, Hy-Vee Store Director in Ankeny.  It has been brought to our attention that the Food Pantry is extremely low on peanut butter.  We thought about doing a one day promotion today, but that wasn't going to bring in the amount of peanut butter that the Pantry needs.  So, we decided to team-up with Hy-Vee and have a Van & Bonnie Peanut Butter Week this next week and ask everyone to help by donating peanut butter for the Food Pantry at all Des Moines area Hy-Vees, including Ankeny, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Indianola, Johnston, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights.  Please help if you can by either dropping some peanut butter in the red barrel or in the special grocery cart by the Guest Services counter of your Hy-Vee.  Thank you so much!!!!!!

Steve Finnegan of the Iowa Deer Classic joined us this morning as well, just after the 8:30 news.  The Deer Classic is today, 3-9PM (ladies get in free tonight), Saturday 9AM-7PM and Sunday 9AM-4PM.  It's a huge show with something for everyone!

Be sure to tune in next week for the Million Dollar Scramble for your opportunity to win tickets to see Million Dollar Quartet coming to the Civic Center May 19th.  We'll plaay a music scramble, you tell us the names of all three songs in the scramble and you win!

It's still snowing!!!!!!  Drive carefully and we'll talk to you on Monday!
