We made it through another Iowa winter storm.  Luckily for us in central Iowa, we didn't have it as bad as our neighbors just to the north of Ames!  The highest snow amount we saw was Belmond at 9.5 inches.  I-35 was closed most of the evening and this morning from Ames to Clear Lake.  It is now open, but travel is still not recommended north of Highway 20.  Well, let's hope we get a lot of melting today, because snow is in the forecast for Monday with a Polar Vortex on its way for next week!  I'm looking forward to March...when we're supposed to be able to wear a light jacket and fly a kite!

The Iowa Barnstormers open their 2-week training camp today at William Penn University in Oskaloosa.  Team practices will take place daily at 8AM in the Penn Activities Center.  They are open to the public.  This  Sunday, the Barnstormers will host a meet and greet in the courtyard of Penn Central Mall on the main drag thru Oskaloosa.  The event begins at 5PM and you'll be able to meet the players and Storm Chasers Dance Team.  Players will be available for autographs at 5:45PM.

Jerry Grady joins us Monday in the studio...we're talking St. Patty's Day!  We'll also haave more Iowa Deer Classic tickets to give away next week.

Have a wonderful weekend!
