That One Time I Tried to Do Improv

After a night of doing comedy under the bright lights, I'm happy to be back in the producer's studio! Wednesday night, my fellow improv newbies and I took the stage and had the BEST time! After having Last Laugh Comedy Theater on Saturday Morning Live, and hearing all the programs they offer, I decided to just go for it and sign up for one! What I've learned to love about doing improv is it is such a release. You just have so much fun, it's so spontaneous and you get to just be silly.

Just when you think it can't get better, you mix all that with an awesome crowd and we had the time of our lives. There were so many laughs! Big thanks to everyone in my group. It's crazy how you can build such an understanding relationship with people who start out as strangers, just by trusting where each other will take a scene.

Hmmm...just to give you a taste. At one point I played the editor-in-chief of a fishing magazine who had an obsession with velvet, that had to give life advice to the audience. I also played the owner of a sign company who caught my employees cheating in the paint room. How random right?! That's the fun part! Shout out to the audience for some great suggestions that night.

This is something I'm definitely keeping up, and next time I'll give listeners a heads up on how you can join in on the fun.
