WHO Radio News has been warning you about the heat wave for several days now, but, when can you expect a cool down?
"It's looking like Tuesday night to Wednesday morning would be the best time for when we'd have showers and thunderstorms coming through and that will help to bring temperatures down a little bit behind that front on Wednesday through the end of the work week."
Andrew Ansorge is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
"Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, a storm system that comes through will be the best chance for seeing area wide percipitation of, maybe, half-inch to an inch depending on how things pan out." But, he says those storms Tuesday night into Wednesday morning could bring the risk of severe weather.
Ansorge also has a suggestion if outdoor chores are on your "honey dew" list.
"If you're going to mow your lawn...if you can wait 'til late...early evening would be the best time if you can't do it in the morning. Otherwise, just make sure you're drinking plenty of fluids, water, staying hydrated and, if you need to take breaks, take breaks, just give yourself some rest from the heat."
