Joseph Patrick Polson, convicted of intimidation with a dangerous weapon in Polk County, escaped from the Fort Des Moines Residential Correctional Facility at 11:35 am today. The facility's security camera shows him exiting the main door, taking items from his locker, and proceeding northbound away from facility grounds.
Polson is a 34-year-old White male, height 5'11” and weighing 230 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on March 24, 2017.
