Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is calling a military uniform mistake embarrassing.
He's talking about a report that shows the Pentagon wasted as much as $28-(M) million dollars on camouflage uniforms that are inappropriate for the Afghanistan landscape.
Grassley says the bill was submitted after the US military had been involved in Afghanistan for years, and should have known.
He calls the mistake an affront to U.S. taxpayers. Grassley says those who wasted money on the wrong camo uniforms seem to have lost sight of their common sense.
