Cedar Rapids Firefighters responded to a large industrial fire Saturday morning at International Paper, 4600 C Street SW in Cedar Rapids.
All six engines were callednpit, and additional assistance came from Mount Vernon, Fairfax, Marion, Ely, Hiawatha, and Swisher Fire Departments, as well as Area Ambulance.
Firefighters will continue to work through the night to contain the fire. The warehouse of paper and cardboard continue to burn. Crews at the location are working to move product out of the buildings.
Cedar Rapids Fire officials say the fire is under control and there is no threat to the rest of the plant or to the community.
One firefighter received minor injuries and was treated and released. There have been no other injuries reported.
