This Thursday ESPN will carry live coverage of OJ Simpson's parole hearing from Carson City, Nevada.
USA Today reports that more than 240 media credentials have been approved, and a dozen satellite trucks are expected to be at the site.
Yale Galanter, OJ's attorney during his 2008 trial, believes it's going to work out in his favor:
"He’s going to get parole. Parole in the state of Nevada is really based on how you behave in prison, and by all accounts he’s been a model prisoner. There are no absolutes anytime you’re dealing with administrative boards, but this is as close to a non-personal decision as you can get.’’
At the end of the 2008 trial, OJ was found guilty of 12 counts including robbery and kidnapping. He got a minimum sentence of 9 years and a maximum of 33 years.
The 70-year-old OJ will participate via video conference from the Lovelock Correctional Center, about 100 miles away from Carson City.
