A new report by Silicon Prairie News ranks Iowa high for technology startups.
That's no surprise to people who work in technology. Iowa has more than 80-thousand technology jobs, with security and data analysis in highest demand.
"These people are now driving business decisions, these people are becoming CEOs. So to have a competency in technology as a young person is really going to give you the tools to be a leader in the business community." Brian Waller, President of the Technology Association of Iowa tells WHO Radio News.
Starting pay with a technology degree is near $60-thousand dollars, and with experience, six-figures is realistic for many within a few years.
