An Urbandale, Iowa woman has been charged after a teenager shot himself in the leg last week.
Police say 37 year old Lavonne Gregory is charged with Neglect or Abandonment of a Dependent Person, a class "C" felony. .
Gregory has posted bond and has been released.
July 26th, police were called to 91-13 Willard Court, because a 16 year old male had a self-inflected gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, with a non-life threatening injury.
Witnesses say he accidentally shot himself while cleaning the gun in the home.
